  •      The Present Simple Tense   -  Future plans and scheduled events

     
     

    1) We use the present simple tense to talk about events happening in the near future.

    Example sentences:    The lesson ends at 7pm.       The film starts at 8pm.      

     
     

    2) We use the present simple tense to talk about future facts.

    Example sentences:    My exams are in June.          5th November is Bonfire Night.

     
     

    3)    We use the present simple tense to talk about schedules, plans and timetables.
