    Making Sentences

 

What is a sentence?

 

 

A sentence is a group of words that make sense when they are put together.

 

 

      Example: David Beckham is a footballer.

 

 

All sentences must start with a CAPITAL LETTER.

 

 

 All sentences must end with a punctuation mark.

 

 

 

    Punctuation Marks

                                 A full stop looks like this:

                                 An exclamation mark looks like this  

!

 

 

     Sentence Structure

All sentences must have a subject (a person or thing the sentence is  about) and a verb (a doing word).
